![]() Happy New Year from The Edinburgh Experience! We hope you had a fantastic holiday and that you're ready for your best year ever learning English! For our first blog entry of 2013 we are going to be talking about New Year's resolutions. A New Year's resolution is a decision you make at the start of the year to improve your life. What you need to do is download our PDF and listen to the audio to find out about some interesting phrasal verbs and some of the most popular New Year's resolutions. We're also talking a bit about how to express the future in English. Again, have a look at the questions in the PDF and listen to the audio to answer. Don't forget about the pronunciation! You can find the answers on the second page of the PDF. What are your New Year's resolutions? Do you make them? If not, why not? Leave us a comment below and help get your brain back into using English! Want some more practice? Here are some interesting videos about New Year's resolutions For intermediate students, have a look at this video from The Guardian Website For advanced students an interesting video about why we should make resolutions in January (use the captions, he talks very quickly!)
